Under the leadership of President-Elect Khalid Salahuddin, Recreation Supervisor for the City of North Miami, we are excited to announce the opening of the Nomination Process for our upcoming 2025-2027 NRPEMS Board of Directors and Officer positions. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to step up and contribute to our organization, bringing your unique talents and ideas to the table. NRPEMS Announces the Appointment of a New Board Member

 

Harith Aleem, Jr. serves as the Assistant Director for the City of Oakland’s Parks, Recreation, and Youth Development Department, brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community service and engagement.

Mr. Aleem has a distinguished career spanning over 28 years in the field of Parks and Recreation. His leadership has resulted in sustained operational success and has fostered a safe, welcoming environment for all community members. He has been instrumental in the development and management of diverse recreational programs, focusing on inclusivity, safety, and community engagement. Mr. Aleem’s efforts in advocating for diverse, accessible, and intentional recreational programs have greatly benefited the Oakland community. He is also known for his ability to foster positive relationships with stakeholders and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Mr. Aleem holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Management from Colorado State University.
